As I may have said in a previous post I love designing landscapes. The idea of taking someones home and helping them increase their property value is thrilling. In this case it was a lovely artist in Laguna Beach that had a lot of lawn in her backyard and wanted it gone and replaced with a more sustainable option. In this case we are going a bit more organic with the layout of the planting areas. Curves as oppose to straight lines. There will also be a vegetable garden area in one of her sideyards that is large enough to accommodate. Her front yard is also getting a makeover. Most of the existing front yard hardscape will remain as is while some existing front yard plants will be removed and replaced. California native plants, decomposed granite and pottery are the bulk elements in this design. Stay tuned as I share progress updates.
