This is music to my ears and courtesy of the California native plant society. Effective immediately the week of April 17-23, 2011 will officially be known as the most awesome week ever. This is a measure passed by the California state assembly and senate called Resolution ACR 173. This measure officially announces that the 3rd week of April (each year) will be known as California native plant week. This measure was introduced by assemblywoman Noreen Evan with support from horticulturalists, conservationist and nurseries etc.Click here if you are interested in where to use native plants.
