TOP 3 MANZANITAS TO TRY IN YOUR GARDEN

I love designing with Manzanitas.  Not only are most Manzanitas beautiful with their red bark but they are also very drought tolerant and can survive on natural rainfall once established.  They also can grow in sun or shade which makes them ideal for any landscape situation.

Put a tall growing Manzanita behind a plant that has gray green leaves and you end up with a nice contrast of color.  Shine an up light to it at night and bam!

Manzanitas are great but their only draw back is slow growth.  Unlike most other plants they are slower growing and require a bit more patience.  They will also work really well in containers.

The 3 Manzanitas are:

  • Arctostaphylos 'Harmony' - Harmony Manzanita
  • Arctostaphylos refugioensis - Refugio Manzanita
  • Arctostaphylos 'Monterey Carpet' - Monterey Carpet Manzanita
If you have used any of these Manzanitas or other that I did not list in this video then comment below and share your experience.
