In this garden that was installed in 2022, we kept a bunch of the existing plant material and added new California native plants. We also created a dry river bed and used decomposed granite as the mulch. This garden is funky yet drought tolerant. The clients allowed for creativity and fun.
This garden also participated in the municipal water district of OC turf rebate program. For every square feet of lawn that was killed, $3 per square feet was given to the homeowner.
