This garden was designed and installed by The Plant Nerd for the Municipal Water District of Orange County turf rebate program. The water district is offering rebates for killing your lawn and replacing it with drought tolerant plants. You can get up to $3 per square feet. If you have 600 square feet of turf or more, then you could get design assistance though The Plant Nerd at no cost to you.
Specifically, this garden features drought tolerant plant, a dry river bed and an energy efficient irrigation system. The dry creek bed stems from the gutters to allow for proper flow of the beauty of what mother nature is given us.
