FLYER PLANTER

I recently saw this on a twitter post of a friend and thought it was neat and rad to share. Think about all the old things that you have collecting dust in the garage and how you might be able to re purpose it and turn it into not only a work of art but a planter. If I had this old newspaper holder it would have done double duty for me as a planter and a small side table painted to what ever color suits my fancy.

I LOVE DIRT

How much do you love dirt? Do you love rolling in it? Especially when it's wet? Then you will love this book. I love dirt by Jennifer Ward "52 activities to help you & your kids discover the wonders of nature." This book is broken down by season. Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter.

"I Love Dirt! is a call to parents, educators & caregivers to help recover one of the greatest joys in childhood: spending time outdoors in nature. In five minutes, you can take children outside and turn their world around. This book will help you to do that."

THE JUICY LEAF OPENS A STORE

What is the Juicy Leaf? A great gift idea! A sustainable, succulent flora design company. Their products require little to no watering and the cool part is that is it an inexpensive way to add some living life to your home.

I have one of their arrangements at home and just love it. I hardly water it. Just once a moth. It lives! Their new store is in Venice and I highly recommend that you go there if you can.

The owner Felix Navarro wanted to create a product that was living, sustainable and just plain rad. If you are getting married then why not have a sustainable center piece to add to your green wedding.

EASY "CHEAP" WAY OUT

What happens when you are a developer and you suddenly come across a situation where you are having trouble selling the homes you have built and can no longer financially afford to finish the ones you are trying to build? Well...

The cost of demolishing these homes is cheaper than finishing the building.

You know the sick part is that this is a very real reality that is happening. I am sure that California is not the only place going through it. SAD!
